Crunchy Almond Flour Crackers are a testament to the magic that can happen when low-carb ingenuity meets wholesome ingredients. These crackers are not only delightful in taste and texture but also bring an array of health benefits to your snacking experience.

Almond flour serves as the primary ingredient, providing a nutty flavor and texture while imparting essential nutrients. Almonds are a source of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, dietary fiber, and vitamins, including vitamin E and B vitamins.

Hemp hearts, also known as hemp seeds, are added to the mix, enriching the crackers with plant-based protein, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and minerals like magnesium and iron. These seeds boost the nutritional profile of the crackers.

Paprika or cayenne pepper (for those who prefer some heat) contributes a burst of flavor and a hint of spice to the crackers. Paprika is rich in antioxidants, including vitamin C and carotenoids, which can support overall health.

Whisked egg and olive oil play crucial roles in binding the cracker ingredients together and providing a touch of moisture. They contribute to the crackers' structure and texture while adding healthy fats to the mix.

Avocado oil is used for spraying, which not only prevents sticking but also brings its own set of benefits. Avocado oil is rich in monounsaturated fats and vitamin E, offering potential heart-healthy advantages.

As you savor each crispy bite and relish the explosion of flavors, you're indulging in a snack that supports your dietary goals and nourishes your body with goodness. Embrace the benefits of almonds and hemp hearts, the kick of paprika, and the comfort of healthy fats that elevate your snacking experience. These crackers redefine the art of mindful indulgence, where taste and well-being unite in a harmonious blend of culinary excellence. So, let the enticing aroma of freshly baked crackers fill your kitchen, and embark on a journey of taste, texture, and benefits that celebrate the art of wholesome snacking.

        Cook Time: 5 minutes
        Yield: 4 servings
        Category: Snacks
        Cuisine: American

        Ingredients:

        • 1 ½ cups (180 g) almond flour
        • 1/3 cup (53 g) hemp hearts
        • ¼ teaspoon (½ g) paprika (or cayenne pepper for a spicier option)
        • 1 egg, whisked
        • 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
        • avocado oil, for spraying

                                                      Instructions:

                                                      1. Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl until completely combined to form a dough.
                                                      2. Place the dough between 2 pieces of parchment paper and use a rolling pin to flatten as thin as possible. Cut the flattened dough into 1-inch (2 ½ cm) squares. (If desired, divide the dough into 2 smaller dough balls and roll each one separately.)
                                                      3. When ready to cook, preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
                                                      4. Place the dough squares in a single layer, without touching, in the air fryer basket or tray and lightly spray with avocado oil. (If needed, cook the crackers in several batches.)
                                                      5. Cook the crackers for 5 minutes, turning over halfway through the cooking time, until golden brown. (The crackers are slightly soft but will crisp as they cool.)
                                                      6. Carefully remove the crackers from the air fryer and let them cool completely before serving.

Nutrition: (Estimated and based on per-serving amounts.)
